Crochet and Needlework for your home or office
Although miniature crochet is my special interest, I also love to make full-size wall hangings, table toppers, and doilies. I plan to embroider some lavender sachets this winter, so do check back. I purchased four tiny cross stitch pictures that depict a barn in all four seasons. I found this hand-made needlework on eBay and could not resist as the craftsmanship was so fine.
I tea-dyed these miniature treasures and stitched them carefully on to two layers of machine-made lace. I wired together a hanger with a heavy gauge gold tone craft wire. The width of this shabby but chic wall hanging is 5 inches; the length is 21 inches. I love the mix of textures and ecru shades.

This sunburst features red and yellow beads and a crocheted ecru medallion. I added more beads on the wire hanger.

I crocheted this lovely plaited doily using a pattern from a vintage crochet magazine. I used a small steel crochet hook and thin cotton thread.
The colors are a soft, sophisticated carolina blue and a creamy ecru. This vintage look doily measures about 7 1/2 inches across, and is finished with a crab stitch edging.

Featuring a sampler of filet crochet stitches, I stitched this unusual mat in lavender cotton thread, & edged it with lacy rows of white & more lavender.

This beaded doily measures 6 1/4 inches across. I crocheted this in an ivory shade of ecru with very fine crochet cotton.
The floral motif in the center is surrounded by lacy stitches & bands of textured stitches. I stitched the beaded fringe using very tiny seed beads.

Featuring delicate filet crochet, I used purple embroidery floss to stitch little flowers, and lace through the openwork stitches.
