I love to use a needle and beading thread to make jewelry. It is just as satisfying as crochet or embroidery on fabric. I especially love the Peyote Stitch, which makes supple, but strong jewelry which is delightful to handle and wear.

Black Peyote Stitch Choker Necklace

I made this black choker using seed beads and a beading needle. It measures 5/8 inch wide and 14 inches long. The adjustable chain extender adds another 1 1/2 inches.
Please note that I also crafted the extension chain, and each link is embellished with a seed bead. It closes with a spring clasp. This choker truly hugs the neck.

This peyote stitch bracelet cuff was stitched with seed beads in a midnight shade of blue (almost black), with pink and mauve accent beads.
This unique bracelet is made to fit the wrist of a petite woman as it measures just over 6 1/4 inches long. It is 1/4 inch wide. It closes with a very strong silvertone magnetic clasp that is guaranteed not to come off.

I stitched this attention-getting bracelet cuff using tiny seed beads. I used black and gold colored beads, with a little white added for accent.
It is 7 3/4 inches long and 3/4 inches wide (about 20 x 2 cm). My design plays with rows and columns of color to create a subtle op art effect. The black bead edging is a nice finish.
This bracelet closes with a VERY STRONG magnetic clasp that is guaranteed not to come loose.

Beaded anklet, ankle cuff and necklace set

I used seed and bugle beads to make this matching anklet & necklace set. The necklace is a graceful 18 inches long & closes with a silver tone spring clasp. Each little turquoise colored seed bead daisy has a white center, with black and amber beads linking each daisy.

I made these dramatic dangle earrings with green feathers that molted from our Lilac-Hooded Amazon parrot.

I crafted this dangle earring set with iris brown Swarovski crystal beads. The earring hooks are sterling silver, with a crystal bead for extra flair.

I crafted this chandelier earring set with 2 very pretty cloisonne beads.
The light-weight beads feature a floral design worked in pink, green and white. I used green and gold colored seed beads too.
I made the chain with tiny wire links which gives these earrings a very lacy and delicate look.These earrings are a dramatic 2.75 inches long and 1-5 inches wide.

Bold dangle earrings with faux turquoise beads

These 3 inch dangle earrings feature reconstituted turquoise stones. I made the hooks, however, with real sterling silver wire. I also used clear Swarvorski crystals in the dangles. Click photo for a close up.
I especially like the saturn beads surrounding the big turquoise beads, and the silver plated spear tips.
BTW, reconstituted turquoise is the real stone, ground up, with resins and dyes added and I guess the whole thing poured into molds. But, you won't need to tell anyone that these stones aren't the real thing...
