Playing around with Sue Lentz' Blue Dahlia project

I especially like the color palette in this dramatic piece.  It is based on the Susan Lentz teaching design, Blue Dahlia.  I used some of her floss colors and the basic outline of the central flower, but worked each petal with different stitches, including pulled thread.

I love the movement of color from light to dark in my project.  Susan Lentz has such great design ideas.

You can find her original pattern on eBay or Etsy from time to time.  Her design is really more dramatic, but I was wanting to play around with cross stitches.
